Photographing Tiger Tiger was all about celebrating authenticity and appetite. Chef Michael Chih brings over five decades of culinary wisdom to the kitchen, and restaurateur Francis Miranda's vision is rooted in the warmth of San Gabriel Valley banquet dining.

My goal was to use rich, directional lighting that makes the textures jump off the screen—from the glaze on the sweet-and-sour chicken to the vibrant red chiles of the Szechuan whole fish.
