The Raymond 1886
The backstory of this bar and restaurant date to 1886, when Walter Raymond moved to California from Boston and built a hotel here. The hotel burned to the ground, was rebuilt and hosted silent film stars like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton. Even after the hotel was replaced by homes, the caretaker's cottage remained. The cottage became the modern day Raymond 1886, and is now serving great new American cuisine and internationally acclaimed cocktails.
